then i painted my first chair that sunday afternoon(with the guidance of my friend wanda)

Today we woke up early as usual but today was different because today was the day we went and picked up cody from camp war eagle after a week of being there.
He looked so tired but at the same time he was very excited to see us. His favorite part of the day was getting in the air conditioning. He has been without it for a week. Cody is a very hot natured child and will start sweating at the drop of a hat. I was glad to see that he wasn't sun burnt although he did get a great tan!
Glad he is home and also glad that he decided not to attend the wrestling camp next week.
Tonight cody is gonna have some dad time and I'm gonna decorate for our upcoming 4th of July party and Ashley is working........

today i am a little sad feeling like i am missing something. yes i know i am missing cody. we dropped him off sunday for 7 days to summer camp. this is the first time he has been away from us in his 11 years for more than just a over night stay except the time when we were in vegas for a week when he was a baby. even then i got to talk to him to tell him goodnight, sleep tight, don't let the bed bugs bite, love you and sweet dreams our usual night time routine. but you can't have phone calls there i can send him a email but he can only send me letters via snail mail (no offense postal service but when you are a mother awaiting a letter from your kid you guys are snail mail).
i know he is having a good time cause i can look at him on the camp internet site at his daily pictures which is good and trust me i am kinda jealous cause the camp has activity that even us a adults would love to do.
ray got to see him yesterday when he was called out to do a service call on the air unit in the front office which by the way i think he intentionally damaged so he could be the one they would call (just saying that's awfully weird how when cody wasn't there the service guys went but now that cody's there ray goes) and also the man that is over the camp told ray that was the quickest response time yet from us and then just laughed........it is kinda funny!!!!!
well i am hoping saturday comes soon cause we get to pick him up that morning but then sunday morning head to kansas and drop him off for a week of wrestling camp. man once i get him home we need to take a vacation.

ARVEST BANK CAR SHOW

June 6th, 2009 we attended the 1st Annual Arvest Charity Car Show to benefit the Rogers Noon Kiwani's Youth Program.
there was 79 cars that entered in the show. it was held in the parking lot behind the Frisco Station Mall. Luckily bob bought camp crass and had it set up ready to avoid the sun shining down on us as we set in our chairs on the asphalt.
total monies raised was $1415.00 for the Kiwani's
we weren't sure what kind or how many trophies would be given out since it was the 1st annual.
registration began at 9 am and the show was over by 2 pm.
we had a great time just sitting around talking and watching ray show off his new 2010 camaro "wet dream"ray entered his 2010 camaro (this was the first show it has appeared in since he just picked it up 2 days prior) "wet dreams"i entered my 1950 chevy 3100 truck "the peppermint express" and my 2009 saturn sky convertible "fat bottom girl"

bob entered his 2007 mustang "misty"
unfortunately i was the only one to bring home a award (note: rate the award a 2 out of 10) for Top 18 with my 1950 chevy truck. the judges were not professional MAC judges so it was just what ever they liked best (not a fan of shows like that)
i also won a $100 visa gift card, ray and bob won car tools as the door prizes. so in reality we all came out with something.
but i will say that ray's camaro stole the show and drew the most crowd cause they are still so rare that for some it was their first time ever seeing the 2010's.

Well its official I am a fat A again!!!!!!!! I just went to doctor and have gained 6 lbs since April 27th 2009.
Isn't doesn't seem like much but considering I lost down to 159 last year at this time and now I am about 15+ lbs heavy!
Where have I gone wrong well I had to stop exercising cause our business starting slowing down so we had to downsize our staff. We went from 29 employees to 8 employees and someone had to take more of the paperwork load. That being me. Everytime I try to exercise something comes up at the office so my plans get changed. I might as well give up cause I realize that I will always be behind and I will never just get to focus on goals or hobbies cause it will always be over rode by general. Then I heard "if it was for general we won't be where we are or have the things we have" but what I say to that is why does other business owners get to have family days, vacations, great body

Ok so I'm sitting here at the doctors office waiting to be sent back to a exam room. I just heard the doctor say I am running behind! That's just great! So let me start my soap box issue or better yet a pet peeve issue I have!
That is one thing that angers me is waiting in a doctors office. I feel that it is a waste of my time! I have so many other things I could be doing at this very moment. This probably also angers me cause I feel that it just makes me more behind than what I already am. Maybe if I didn't have so many other things to do on a daily basis going to the doctors office and waiting won't tuck me off so bad. But when you start off behind there is no other place to go except farther behind! I want to set by the pool and just enjoy time with my kids and cleaning house and doing laundry and cooking supper! Regular mom things that I feel has been taken from me and handed to off to others! :(

Today has been a busy day! I woke up this morning singing "a planting we will go a planting we will go" and now I tired and hungry!
We landscaped 1 of many areas by our pool today. We have 3 more areas to go but for today one will be enough! It had to be done from scatch and trust me that's harder than just replanting a area that has already been a flower bed before.......it looks great though we are trying to get it finished by the time we have our 4th of July party.
Now we are off to take the kids for pizza and then me and ray are off to the office for our every Sunday catch up from the previous work week. I'm hoping Tuesday we can spend the day at the lake with some of the family! We will see though!

if there is one feeling i have that upsets me the worst is the feeling of being behind.......i don't know why it bothers me so bad but it does.
being behind for some people is a normal everyday occurrence but for me if puts me in a very unhappy place.
when i have that feeling of being behind it effects me in ways i wonder if anybody else sees through my actions, my personality or lack there of.
being behind reminds me that we will never be able to take a vacation without having to come back to a mess, it reminds me that i can't take days off without dreading them later, it reminds me of all the exercise classes i missed, it reminds me of all the moments that i missed with the kids, family, friends, and my husband, of all the suppers i never got to cook or the pleasure of just sitting outside and enjoying the peace of home because of feeling the need to go to the office to get a head start. going to the office and getting a head start doesn't seem to matter cause i still at the end of the week always feel behind.
i wish i didn't always have the feeling of being behind cause then maybe i could get some stuff done at my house. i hate a dirty house, piled up laundry, and to be unorganized, but that is how i feel. i feel lazy and that i am not. i like to mow, clean, do laundry. when all these things are done i feel great inside and for the past few months the main feelings i have is being behind on everything.
i'm not unhappy with my family, friends, job, or life. i just feel like not matter how hard i work i am not getting anywhere.
maybe i'm getting burnt out at the office, but i know everybody relies on me to put things done. i just need time with my family away from the office, so they can't call every 5 seconds cause someone needs something. just one day for someone to say (today is family day). i can bet everything i have this is never gonna happen. but sometimes i wish it would for me.......

a 5th grader no more

CONGRATS!!!!!!!!
to all the 5th graders at northside elementary for passing and heading to middle school this fall. ok so i'm gonna have a 6th grader and a senior man i have a feeling it's gonna be a emotional year for me.
i once heard a quote that is so true.

{friends are the family you pick for yourself}

i met a women in 1997 that has become a dear friend to me, as close as a sister. we have been through good times, bad times and in between times but all the while i have loved her like a sister.

well thursday she came to visit me for a few days. i hadn't seen her for almost 5 years and i thought of her every day.

in i met her in 1997 we were inseparable then she moved back to her hometown of imboden arkansas in 2004. she came to visit once and so started our in between times. there was a misunderstanding and that lead to a long silents of almost 4.5 years. this year we started texting again and it was like nothing ever happened to separate us for those years.

we spent the time we had together for the most part. since it was the last week of school i had so many things going on with the kids and then my sisters wedding so our time was cut short. although we have had hard times i truly believe those are the times that make us realize what we have within our friendship.

event filled weekend

sorry for this blog full of events from saturday but i had a busy day.
ashley and i left bright and early to take her to muldrow to get ready for the wedding since she was a bridesmaid. after i dropped her off i went to meet my sister julie and my little niece jb for lunch and then i drove around trying to find a place to get dressed for the wedding. so i ended up at my sister in laws where i visited her for the rest of the day and then got ready and headed to muldrow ago for the wedding.
the lunch with julie and jb was awesome. i just love visiting with them and jb she is as sweet as pie.
this is a picture of my sisters wedding it was beautiful.and the flower girl and boy were the cutest i have ever saw. and ashley a beauty as always. the colors of the wedding were the colors i probably myself would have chose and those lilies are my very favorite flower of all time.there were are the whole family.
much congrats to shaunna and galen. hope you have a happily ever after

United Bank Car Show

Saturday May 30th ray, cody and bob attended the 2nd annual united bank car show. i did not get to attend sadly but i had to be in oklahoma for my sister shaunna's wedding.
this marks the first car show that ray and cody attended with out me, so i sent them a bag with all the necessary items and told ray to keep me posted (which i might add did not happen freely without me calling for the information first.)
since i was not there this update will be short because i was not in attendance to make it full of entertainment.
ray told me there were around 40 cars there and they were giving out plaques to the top 10 plus a few specialty plaques as well. ray and cody entered my 1950 chevy truck the peppermint express
and bob entered his 2007 mustang misty
the hagars did not make it to this show to enter but did arrive as i'm told right as it was over. the outcome was good.
bob received a plaque for best paint and top 10
ray and cody received a plaque for best engine and top 10 (and as i'm told everybody knew that was my truck and he was just showing it for me.) what a great bunch of boys i have.....
way to go guys!
