Sometimes I get a creative block and I need a little inspiration. Well that is exactly what happened to be today I have been searching for a great wedding shower gift for my sister Shaunna who is getting married on the 30th of this month and no gift was just screaming buy me buy me so I called my friend list to get her advice and she gave me one and by the end of the day her idea lead me to the most creative gift ever. What point of a persons life do we finally admit we are not a superman or a wonderman?
I think there comes a time in our lives that we say "I have realized that I can't do it all in a days time"
Some may say that admitting this means we are slowing down due to getting older but its a catch 22. Yes its admitting that but it is also admitting that we need to put some things before others and prioritise.
Say to yourself What today is the main things I need to get done.
If you try to do it all yourself and stretch yourself so thin but don't get it done then you have a feeling of failure, but if you do only what you can and the rest will still be there the next day. Trust me!
I believe stressful days can cause many unhappy, missed, overlooked, no time for memories. one thing I try to remember
"at the end of my life did I make enough happy memories that I will be remembered by people I met along the way"

Tonight was honors night at nwacc for all the students in the skills USA and the students who were in the program this year. Ash received a certicate for participating in the skills USA challenge in hot springs, which she won 2nd in the dental assisting challenge and received a silver metal.
I'm so proud that at this point in her life that she has found something to work toward gaining a career in. She has gone way above where I was as a junior in high school. No one knows what the future holds but if she stays on track she can be whatever she desires.
I think I have so far done a great job teaching my daughter to be a wonderfully well rounded young lady
Who has the best years of her life ahead of her and hopefully she will remember the things I have done wrong and the things I have done right and strive to be the best at whatever she does no matter what path she chooses. She will be successful I know!

Gateway Car Show

on april 24th, 2009 we attended the gateway car show in gateway, arkansas.

we wasn't sure if it was gonna rain or shine. the morning looked rainy but the storm went around us and by the end of the day the sun shined through. thanks goodness the rain held off until that evening.

the turn out was very good. i think they set a record but i know for sure that there were more entries this year and last.

bob entered misty,

i entered the peppermint express,

ray entered the general (sporting a for sale sign) and

gary (who we saved a spot for) brought his mustang out (not to be judged but to still show).

we all had a great time at the show and it didn't take long for someone to make a offer on the general and he was sold. we hated to sell him but this year we learned that sometimes we have to do what we don't really want to, but there is a 67 camaro waiting in the winds to be restored.

when it was time for the awards we headed up to the dj booth and waited for them to announce the winners.

and i got a plaque for

TOP 5 TRUCKS

and then the most exciting news of all happened.


a lady walked up to me and said i just wanted you to know that up until the last 10 minutes of the show you were the winner of the

BEST OF SHOW TROPHY!

then she said you were

"you only got beat by

1 POINT!"

i was so excited. i know that i probably should have been upset or sad but no i was so happy just knowing that the peppermint almost won her second best of show award in history and the first one of the season. the photo below was the car that beat me by 1 point.

the next show that she will be in is the biggest of the year. the magic dragon street meet nationals in lake ozark, missouri. just a note about last year the peppermint express did not place and it was the first show ever that she didn't receive any type of award, but the general won 1st place in all year model sedans. since the general did sell we will not be taking him with us this year but we will take the peppermint express, my yellow roadster golf cart, and cody's escalade.

We are at the magic dragon street meet nationals in lake Ozark missouri and the first day was rainy windy cold and nasty and today is sunny and beautiful. Since I am a sun bunny myself I love this weather. We are having a great time and have already been judged and the kids are in the judging line now. Tomorrow is the awards so wish is luck!

Well we arrived at lake Ozark. The street meet nationals start tomorrow at noon. We had a nice supper with our little group of friends at outback and have settled in the the night got a lot of cleaning to do tomorrow on the cars since the rain. Hope the weathers nice this weekend.

Why is it when a person has there day completely figured out everything that could go wrong does. I am trying to get everything done in 3 days that I usually do in 5 to 6 days and I am being worked against I do believe.
